Big day for mng.ie today. We were invited to Radio na Gaeltachta to talk about our work with Earagail arts festival.
Radio Na Gaeltachta were interested to know about the amazing art competition Earagail Arts Festival are running this year.
Earagail Arts are calling on all graphic designers, illustrators and artists to
design the cover of their annual brochure, a design that for them sums
up the festival. Bearing in mind the EAF has been putting together a program
of innovative, imaginative and stimulating arts for years, the piece
that is chosen will need to reflect this along with their broad
demographic. We personally recommend those interested to look at former
covers. Last years was just stunning, a friend from Madrid was really taken by how beautiful the art work was then obviously bought
the poster.... Which brings us to the prize, its an excellent
opportunity! Along with a cash bonus of €500, the art work will feature
on every piece of advertising and promotion for the EAF 2013. They print
at least 50,000 brochures a year and they are all over Europe, its a
massive opportunity and also, yes, more, there will be Royalties from
all posters and merchandise sold for the lucky winner! Lets make sure
that everyone we know that could enter is aware of this. No matter where
they are, no matter if they are new or established at home or abroad,
there could be a great story here for the Donegal Diaspora as well!

The show was also interested to know what was mng.ie's role in all this. Moira from mng.ie explained, that they have been brought on board to talk to all tourist related businesses in the Gaeltacht
region to ensure they know what is happening and that they are ready. But
more than that, Moira aims to ask people to think about what they can do, how can
businesses benefit from the potential 1500 visitors that will be in our
region, what will they do that's going to be ensure their business
benefits?
Employed to come and speak to you about your
business, mng.ie is especially interested if it's tourism related. Simplicity is a core objective of mng.ie. Think
about what used to work, what did people enjoy, what are you known for
or what do you think people would enjoy? If its musical, cultural, and
relevant, the EAF website will be happy to promote it as well.
This
is the year of the Gathering and with Donegal being the 5th county in
terms of events, we're already doing well. Together lets do even better!
